Katie Flinchum

Owner & Administrator

Hello and welcome! I'm the one creating and writing this page (and the website overall). This is just a part of what I get to do for our business. For much of the scheduling, invoicing, and things of that nature, you'll be talking with me. I also handle all of our advertising and hiring! Most of the time you'll find me present at the estimates as well - along with my father (Gary); sometimes I even come out for the estimates solo. I used to work more on the jobs (the picture above comes from when I was climbing a tree!) but as we've grown as a business, administrative tasks have also grown to where I'm mainly in the office; but you might still see me out "in the field" from time to time! I came into this ownership and management position back in 2022 (it wasn't a plan we ever had, but isn't that how some of the best things happen sometimes?), yet this business is still a team-based, family-run project! Now let's talk about the man who started it all...

Gary Flinchum

Climber & Job Foreman

Well, he's not interested in too many pictures of himself, so that's why a graphic is taking that place for him right now. If you've been familiar with tree service in Roanoke for any length of time, you may already know him. But Gary started this company approximately 14 years ago (wow, I began working with him in the summers back when I was in high school...); he has amassed a great deal of knowledge and skills within that time (but he's never done learning - neither am I!). We've gone through many name changes since then, and some of you may remember when we were Complete Tree Solutions! Since I came on board in my current position, we've been Complete Tree Service - but our core is still the same. As I alluded to above, Gary is incredibly knowledgable and skilled in every area of tree service. (Before he was in the tree service industry, he was in logging, which further trained him in dealing with all sorts of tree-related work.) Now, Gary leads the jobs, collaborates with me (Katie) on estimates, and is my consultant go-to! To continue on with one more family member to truly round out the "family-run" nature of this business...

Ben Flinchum

Climber, Groundsman, Certified Arborist

Ben is my (Katie) brother and he has recently fully joined the team! He has been a part of the team here and there in the past, but he is now with us on a more consistent basis. He is incredibly skilled in the art of climbing as well as other tree care services, and he recently became a certified arborist.

While we (Katie, Gary, and Ben) make up the biggest part of the team that runs the show here, we are not complete without our awesome groundsmen and climbers. We have had the privilege to work with amazing people, and I would be remiss to not shout them out here! It is not my place to call them out by name nor place their pictures here (without permission), but I do want to recognize them. We strive to always employ hard-working, respectful individuals who give their very best to our customers and help us all grow (the company always includes the employees!).
